The Detroit Eagle Drumline in in the process of being formed. We are still in the tryout phase. Starting in Jan., 2008, the Drumline will be officially formed, and will elect officers. The Drumline will start working on marching, and new routines. The students have put in a lot of work and time learning to play the percussion instruments. We will have a Nov.9, 2007 Veterans show at 9:00 in the Middle School gym, A Christmas show, and a end of the year program. The students will work on routines and marching the second semester and this Summer in preparation for the 2008 - 2009 football season, and the Paris Drumline competition. We encourage other students to tryout for the Drumline, which includes 7th grade and up students. Students must have passing grades and good discipline habits in order to participate in the Eagle Drumline. Students must have all class work finished and the required assignments before a student can leave class early to practice or help setup for a show. The Drumline members consider themselves a family, and are here to have fun, while learning the percussion instruments. Their are lots of good scholarships for talented HS students involved in band and drumlines.
